Can psychiatric medication affect your psychic ability?

Anti-depressants, anti-anxiety medications, sedatives, benzodiazepines, and antipsychotics – can taking them hinder your psychic abilities and spiritual development?

On varying levels, all classes of psychiatric medications have the capacity to decrease, dampen, or stop altogether, your psychic abilities.

And here’s why.

No one knows for sure how or why any of these drugs work on or in the brain.

In most cases, psychiatric medications work by reducing or removing symptoms.

They make mood swings, panic attacks and other extreme symptoms less severe.

By all accounts, they’re mostly numbing agents.

They make it so you don’t notice and can’t feel the effects of the symptoms.

They don’t take away the cause, and really, they don’t completely remove the symptoms, they just make them less.

The sensory dial gets turned down. In some cases, way, way down.

Depending on your symptoms and the degree of control your medications have over them, the level of numbing and extent to which you no longer notice and feel your symptoms varies.

Which brings me to my next point:

Psychiatric disorders and illnesses have a spiritual component.

Depression can be related to self criticism, trauma, and the ability to sense the energetically oppressive environment in which you live and work.

Anxiety is most often related to the ability to feel on an enhanced level the energy that is all around us.

Bipolar disorder is also related to the ability to feel energy but more specifically, extreme sensitivity to energetic fluctuations in the environment, which can drastically affect mood.

Schizophrenia can be the ability to see, hear, and feel those in Spirit, both positive spirits and dark spirits to a greater degree. Those with schizophrenia can also see the energy and entities around others.

The list goes on.

Can taking psychiatric medication affect your psychic ability?

There are uncontrolled psychic abilities that are cast as symptoms in the western medical community.

The ability to feel energy, not a nervous disorder, but rather clairsentience.

The ability to hear those in Spirit, not always just voices in the head, but rather clairaudience

The ability to see those in Spirit, not always a hallucination, but rather clairvoyance.

When you take medication to numb the symptoms of psychiatric illness, you numb the symptoms. You numb these gifts.

Psychiatric medications treat and numb symptoms. They do not heal. And in the case of psychiatric illness, those symptoms are the symptoms of spiritual and energetic gifts that are presently unmanaged.

When you numb your symptoms, you drown out your psychic abilities.

With a psychiatric illness diagnosis, often comes psychic ability.

They go hand in hand. It’s impossible to remove one and not remove the other because they are often exactly the same thing. Psychiatric illness is often strong uncontrolled or unrecognized psychic gifts.

If you wish to develop and hone your abilities while taking these medications, it will likely be more difficult.

So, what can you do?

You can start to learn about your abilities and how those abilities relate to your diagnosed illness.

I myself have been previously been diagnosed with 4 separate illnesses treated solely with medication – major depression, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, and bipolar disorder.

I’m no longer medicated and I’m completely fine.

You have the ability to manage your symptoms and gain control.

If I did it, you can too.

With love,
